Hello, Community!!
We need you as much as you need us. As many of you know, the Bulverde Area Volunteer Fire Department was formed in 1986. We became a rural fire prevention district in the early 1990's and became the current ESD #5 in 2002.
Not only does the BAVFD provide fire fighters to the district who respond to fires, vehicle wrecks, hazardous conditions, water rescues and first responders for medical emergencies, but they also provide public assistance and numerous public education opportunities.
The location of Station One is 30240 Cougar Bend, which is in the town of Bulverde, Texas. You are welcome to come by anytime and meet our volunteers and staff. They will give you a tour and answer any questions you might have. If you would like, we have a pre-plan form available (click here) for you as a home and land owner to fill out, to help us in case of emergency. It will give us information about you, the members of your family, pets and your home. It is a valuable tool, so please help us, help you. This sheet makes it very easy for the emergency responders to administer to you or your loved one. This sheet is also helpful for babysitters, other family members and friends in case of emergency. What is a pre-plan? A pre-plan is a form that provides the Bulverde Area Volunteer Fire Department information about you, your family, your land and your home. It includes information such as:

Etc.
Lot/Property Features:
Acres
% inaccessible
Auxiliary water sources
Flammable/explosive storage
Etc.
